Image requirements

• Documented ownership, license, or patient consent permitting web publication.
• Removal of direct and contextual identifiers, with clinically appropriate cropping.
• Descriptive alt text and photographer or source attribution where required.
• Metadata inspection and stripping before any public derivative is created.
• Original private files separated from optimized public versions.

Medical review

Every published case requires a named contributor, named medical reviewer, review date, reputable references, and explicit approval of the primary diagnosis, accepted synonyms, progressive clues, explanation, differential, and clinical pearl.

Editorial balance

Dermdle aims to represent diverse skin tones and avoid a calendar dominated by rare, graphic, stigmatizing, or sensational material. Clinical language should remain respectful, concise, and focused on learning.

Correction process

Reported concerns should be promptly triaged. A case can be unpublished while image rights, medical accuracy, or privacy questions are reviewed. Material is restored only after documented resolution.
